Surgery for head and neck is a medical specialty devoted to prevention, diagnostic, treatment and rehabilitation of diseases that affect the head and neck, mainly of benign and malignant tumors of the region the face, mouth, pharynx, larynx, thyroid, salivary glands, paranasal synus and tumors of the scalp.

In adult patients the tumors (cellular changes that have an overgrowth of cells and can be benign or malignant) represent the largest number of patients. Among children predominate congenital disease (present before birth or soon).
