Doctors

The service is made up of doctors trained in different areas: cardiology, gynecology, urologic, anesthesiology, plastic surgery, head and neck, general and vascular.

Act like a support to the patient and the surgeon, providing assistance 24 hours, in cases of pain and until possible emergencies.

Anestesiologies

The anesthesiologist are at the disposal of the surgical team and give to the patients all the information about the anesthetic procedure that they need to know, answering the principal doubts about safety and the different used techniques.

The use of anesthetic in the medicine is more recent than the surgery, but the anesthetics’ procedures were modernized, becoming more and more safe and comfortable.

The CECMI has moderns anesthetic’s machines, offering the best service and good care of the anesthetist and patients, before, during and after surgery.

Nursing

The nursing team is formed for qualified professions whom are always to keeping the nurses up to date about the developing procedures carried through for all the medicine’s specialties.

These professionals performing a fundamental work among doctor, patient and their families / accompanies. They act pledge in giving cares of singular way, based in a bording multidisciplinary.

The plan of the patients’ treatment   is established when they make their admission in the hospital, based in the surgery’s procedure that they will be submitted. Have a investigation about their health, like allergies, weight, existing illnesses and medicines in use.

For being a surgical hospital and specialized, the nurses have a after graduation in areas like doctor-surgical, clinical-surgical and unit of intensive therapy, UTI, favoring the quality of the attendance and the cares with the patients.

Nutrition

The nutritionist’s team of CECMI is composed for professionals experients in the hospital area, acting to offer flavor and quality in the meals, playing a important role in the rehabilitation of the patients.

The nutrition and dietary service is responsible for evaluation, feeding and nutritional accompaniment of the interned patients, providing a different attendance, always in agreement with the medical orientation.

The patients receives nutritional accompaniment since its admission until its to come back home, where alimentary questionnaires for tracking of allergies, and aversion about food.

 
Sanitary Hygienical Control - Beyond the nutritionals items, the service do hygienical control of the meals, monitoring of temperature and of microbiological requirements determined by the Sanitary Control. The meals offered to the patients’ accompanies * also receive the same care in the production, hygiene and quality. The menu includes breakfast, snaks, soups and meals that can be request to the Room Service.

* This service is not included in hospital’s daily.

Attendance specialized for patients of bariatric surgery - A differential of the CECMI is the fact of the nutritionists to be members of the Brazilian Society of Surgery bariatric and metabolic, being responsible for the elaboration of the protocol of diets and orientation about accompaniment after surgery.

Infection Control

Of basic importance, the work of control of hospital infection has as mission to contribute before with the safety, during and after the surgical and well-taken care of procedures of nursing, preventing complications proceeding from infections. For in such a way, it counts on responsible professionals for co-ordinating and supervising all the routines of the hospital, including the units of attendance and the Central office of Sterilization of Materials.

Although the CECMI very offers low risk of infection due to its model of operation, that is, focus in minimum invasive surgeries, without unit of emergency room - that it is the door of natural entrance for bigger number of infectious agents - e for not taking care of chronic patients - that needs isolation or long period of permanence, the Hospital follows all rigorously the norms established for the Agency of Sanitary Monitoring (Anvisa).

Beyond the equipment of last generation and series of procedures for the disinfection of materials and areas of access of the patient and professional’s team, the work of the CECMI involves an intense routine of training and evaluation on all the procedures made for areas that go since the reception until the laundry, with special attention on the cleanness and nursing teams.
